Welcome To The Frith Farms Homepage!

Maynard & Marlene Frith began owning and operating Frith Farms in 1962 in Athens, Maine.  They milked registered Holsteins and a few registered Brown Swiss and Ayrshires.  The added an Angus beef herd to the farm in 1999.  Goats joined the herd in 2004.  In 2006, the milkers were sold off, but Maynard and Marlene continued to raise heifers, and the Angus. Along the way they raised three daughters, Kim, Tammy, and Kelly-Jo, and have six grandchildren.  Their daughters worked on their farm growing up and were involved in many 4-H activities.  They all showed, especially Kelly- Jo.  Their grandchildren Kassie (that would be me), Krysta, Nicholas, Whitney, Kaylee, and Gavyn are/were all 4-H members, and  are involved on the farm.  I showed my Holsteins and Angus since I was about 11, and began showing dairy goats at 14.  Krysta dabbled with showing cattle and  made her niche with the "different" breeds, such a Milking Shorthorn and a Hereford.  She also showed goats and got me involved.  Our cousins have all taken a few trips around the ring as well.
Last spring, my grandparents (Papa & Nee) finally sold the main farm, which had been up for sale for several years.  They moved about a mile up the road to a new home that they are enjoying very much.  The Holstein heifers and most of the Angus have been sold, and with Papa's help I have been maintaining a small beef herd.
